Introduction to Tyne United

Based on the Gateshead side of the river Tyne we are a modern club with a fresh approach to rowing. Formed in only 2007 Tyne United have quickly established themselves as one of the top sports clubs in our region, being nominated and winning Sports Club of the year for 2011. Tyne United have developed squads full of top Athletes and through our coaches and coordinators we have a great club atmosphere  As a club with huge ambitions we  have partnership agreements with both Durham and Northumbria University’s to continue the development of rowing in the North East. Our philosophy and partnerships are producing some of the finest rowers in our region including a World Championship winner and representatives for the 2012 Olympics.

If you are considering returning to the sport or learning how to row then Tyne United Rowing Club is the place to be. We can boast some of the best facilities in the North of England including our rowing tank.
