Trent Head
Written by Sophie MilburnWorth the wait
A misty start saw a delay to the start of proceedings on the Trent.
When it finally got underway, the sun shone and it was a bright, warm day. In division 1 the women’s 8 competed against some strong opposition in the D category. They rowed strongly and were pleased with a solid performance. In division 2 our women‘s beginners coxed four had their first experience of an away race. They finished with smiles on their faces and a much better understanding of what racing is all about. Division 3 saw a women’s B quad and a women’s E quad take to the water. Good racing by both crews, saw the B quad win their category.
Well done to all who took part. It was wonderful to see so many women from Tyne United racing and supporting each other.
