A I am a founding member of TURC raising over £1.5m to build the physical infrastructure of the club and fund a three year community coach post

A How the Club pulled together after an arson attack
Q What is your proudest rowing moment?
A I have two - winning Nat Indoor Champs in 2012 in 55-59 Age Group to become Nat Champion and European Champion and 2014 -
Winning double Gold at National Masters in 4x with Hazel Stainforth, Liz Bray and Sarah Furniss and 8+ with members of TURC and the daytime rowing group Vet E

A River Tyne Rutherford Head
Q How many bits of kit have lost?
A Surprisingly only my winners hat from the Great Ouse Marathon

A Kieren Emery World Champion in 2- in Bled 2011 with Richard Chambers

A Always remember to ensure you have a sustainable income stream to keep the Club going.
Q Are you still involved with rowing and what is your current focus?
A Yes once involved always involved. My main focus is developing Tay Rowing Club founded as we moved to Scotland in 2015. Fund raising all over again, coaching and trying to get fit after a series of broken bones topped off with a huge DVT and PE in September 2019!
