English Indoor Rowing Championships
Barbara and Chris decided they hadn’t got enough to do so they entered the English Indoor Rowing Championships held on Sunday February 12th at the Manchester Velodrome. Barbara hadn’t done a competitive 2k for over 4 years and came away with a Silver medal in the 50-59 age group. Time of 8:11 was not great, but a good starter for ten on the way to getting back to under 8 mins. B, who will be will be 60 in Sept was beaten by a sprightly 50 year old from Runcorn Rowing Club.
Chris entered on the spur of the moment – did no specific ergo training and went 7.26 in the 60-69 age group and came away with the Bronze medal.
Squad winter training continues whatever the weather…
