Veterans’ rowing
Veteran’s rowing (soon to be renamed Master’s rowing from April 2010) is for anyone who is aged 31 or over (from April 2010 this will be anyone aged 27 or over).
We have a large squad of veteran rowers of all different levels of experience and ability who are working together to put together competitive boats for the coming regatta season. As with all squads at Tyne United Rowing Club, veterans’ rowing aims to be competitive at all levels from local regattas right through to events such as the National Veterans Championships and Henley Veterans Regatta. The club ensures that all squads get coaching and for many of our members, one of the appeals of Tyne United was this belief that you won’t be left to work it out for yourself and that you’re never too young to learn something new!
Tyne United Rowing Club caters for those veterans who want to take part in competitive sweep boats or those who want to head out and develop their sculling skills in a single.
