We are happy to announce that we will again be hosting two Masters Sculling camps in 2022. The camp is geared towards those wishing to improve their single sculling. The course emphasis will be on improvement in skills confidence and racing technique. They will be led by Alex Leigh, who will be assisted by a team of qualified coaches.
The 2022 dates are:
Week1: 18 – 21 July 2022
Week 2: 25 – 28 July 2022
Sessions are a mainly water based (weather permitting), with some land based work to complement the water work. Sessions are tailored to the ability of the participants and the weather conditions. This year sessions included skills, drills, technical work on starts and stroke work, side by side racing and a fabulous long row to the Millennium Bridge.
All participants must be able to single scull in a fine single, be a member of a BR affiliated Rowing club or equivalent and have access to a boat and blades.
Each day a hot, home cooked meal is provided at lunchtime. There are snacks available throughout the day too, as we all know that rowers are hungry when they get into the clubhouse!
£225 which includes coaching, use of facilities and food.
