Yesterday 3 crews won at the Ponteland Head and some were a very close 2nd. 5 juniors won medals for coming 1st. The club were 3rd behind Queen Elizabeth High School and Talkin Tarn with Tyne ARC and Cambois in joint 4th place. Further behind were Chester-le-Street, Durham, Tees, Hexham, Lakeland and Gateshead.
Yesterday Sophie and Elysia (WJ14 2x) qualified to represent the NE region in Nottingham next month. Fantastic. Well done Sophie and Elysia.
On Friday we had 9 rowers at the NE Regional Indoor Rowing Championships where our juniors won a gold medal, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
On Monday at the Tyne and Wear Indoor Rowing Championships our rowers won 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and a bronze medal.
In total that’s 17 medals in one week. Amazing. Well done everyone.
