Masters Sculling Camp

Course 1: Sunday 21st – Wednesday 24th July 2024

Course 2: Thursday 25th – Sunday 28th July 2024

Sessions

Sessions are a mainly water based (weather permitting), with some land based work to complement the water work. Sessions are tailored to the ability of the participants and the weather conditions. This year sessions included skills, drills, technical work on starts and stroke work, side by side racing and a fabulous long row to the Millennium Bridge.

All participants must be able to single scull in a fine single, be a member of a BR affiliated Rowing club or equivalent and have access to a boat and blades.

Meals

Each day a hot, home cooked meal is provided at lunchtime. There are snacks available throughout the day too, as we all know that rowers are hungry when they get into the clubhouse!

Cost:

£250 which includes coaching, use of facilities and food.

The organisers have made every effort to ensure the event is as safe as possible, however, sculling on the River Tyne carries certain risks including the tides, weather, mud and other river users.
